This Refund Policy outlines how Car Rental for U handles cancellation requests, modifications, and refunds. Because we are an aggregation platform, the specific terms of any refund are governed primarily by the Rental Partner whose services you booked.

How Refunds Work

Car Rental for U acts as an intermediary between you and the Rental Partner. Any pre-payment you make is either held by us and forwarded to the partner, or collected directly by the partner depending on the booking type. Refund eligibility is therefore determined by the cancellation policy applicable to your specific booking, which is shown to you before you confirm.

1. Cancellation by the Customer

  • Free Cancellation Bookings: If your booking was made with a free-cancellation option and you cancel before the stated deadline, a full refund will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
  • Non-Refundable Bookings: Bookings marked as non-refundable at the time of reservation are not eligible for a refund upon cancellation. This condition is clearly disclosed before payment is taken.
  • Partial Cancellations: If you shorten a multi-day rental, refund eligibility for unused days depends on the Rental Partner's policy. Contact us and we will liaise on your behalf.

2. No-Show Policy

Failure to collect the vehicle at the agreed pick-up time without prior notice (a "no-show") will typically result in forfeiture of any pre-paid amount. If you anticipate a delay or change of plans, contact us as soon as possible to avoid this outcome.

3. Cancellation by the Rental Partner

In the rare event that a Rental Partner cancels your reservation due to unavailability or operational issues, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid. We will also attempt to source an equivalent or superior alternative at no additional cost to you.

4. Modifications to Bookings

Requests to change dates, pick-up location, or vehicle class are subject to availability and the Rental Partner's modification policy. Modifications may result in a price difference (higher or lower) based on current inventory rates. Reductions in the rental period may not always produce a pro-rated refund.

5. How to Request a Refund

Contact our support team with your booking reference and the reason for your cancellation or refund request:

We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 24 hours and resolve them within 5 business days, though processing times may be longer depending on the Rental Partner and your bank.

These timelines begin from the date the refund is approved, not the date of your request. Processing times may vary by financial institution.

7. Disputes

If you believe a refund decision is incorrect, contact us at (860) 362-0670 or support@carrentalforu.com. We will review the case thoroughly and respond within 3 business days. If the dispute relates to the Rental Partner's terms, we will escalate on your behalf and keep you updated throughout.
